Communicating
Training Programs
Our programs are tailored to needs, group size, delivery format and budget. Three of the most commonly requested programs are as follows:
Persuasive Presentations
Persuasive speakers are well prepared, clear about their objectives and responsive to the needs of their audience. They have a clear sense of purpose and are flexible in conveying their ideas.
Effective presenters begin with strong content. They use visual media to reinforce key points and free themselves to speak expressively. They are adept at responding to tough questions and managing difficult people. And whether speaking one-on-one or before a large, formal audience, they generate interest and project confidence.
The Persuasive Presentations helps individuals to think strategically, develop message content and visual support and deliver with impact. The program is designed to help participants refine their skills while building new ones. Participants gain personal insights into what they can do to strengthen their unique spoken image.
topConsultative Selling
The ability to effectively sell is key to achieving results. Business professionals depend on interpersonal skills to advance their ideas, build consensus and persuade others to act.
The Consultative Selling program helps individuals understand their role in guiding the sales process, from initial contact through closing. Participants learn how to develop rapport, involve the listener through the strategic use of questions, present solutions in terms of benefits, respond to concerns and win commitment toward action.
Participants acquire skills through case examples, discussion, demonstration of concepts, individual and group activities, and videotaped role plays. Pre-call planning, prospecting and follow-up strategies for developing new business are also covered. Program participants come to appreciate that selling is an art that demands "common skills done uncommonly well."
topTalking to the Media
The prospect of a media interview intimidates most people. Individuals fear being caught off-guard, saying the wrong thing or making an unfavorable impression.
Media training helps participants learn how to proactively position a story and when necessary, to shift from a defensive to offensive position. Participants discover how to maintain composure and view encounters with the media as opportunities to surface important messages the public needs to hear.
During the program, participants experience how to handle the media in a variety of situations. They learn how to manage themselves in press conferences, public hearings, analyst meetings and interpersonal settings (such as phone or face-to-face interviews.) The program helps individuals learn to communicate more comfortably and naturally so ideas are conveyed with confidence.
